Bagbutler has an early peruse of the new collection and here we share our new favourites.
At BagButler, we are just beginning to plan ahead to those months beyond the picnics and leisurely evening strolls that we are enjoying now. No! we are not in a rush to embrace shorter days and different clothes but there is always something special and definite about the Autumn-Winter collections.
So as a little amuse-bouche and fresh from the London Dior Pop Up here is a list of five things that we fell in love with from the Autumn-Winter 2020-2021 collection which is debuting now.
- The Socks
The long and short of it is that at some point we will be relinquishing our barefoot freedom. What better way to ease into sock season than with these gossamer threaded beauties in both black and white, long and short.
- The Vanity Case
Vanity cases have been catching our eye of late. Not just the handbag variety but the proper cosmetic cases. Is this because it should be suitcase season or because Covid-19 is still fuelling a desire in us to declutter and streamline? Whatever the reason, these are hitting the spot as we imagine them filled only with new supplies of perfect multi-tasking beauty essentials.
- The Small Book Tote
The classic Dior Book Tote was introduced by Marie Grazia Chiuri and is now a Dior essential. The newer size Book Tote in small is the bag we didn’t realise we wanted to add to the BagButler inventory until we saw this…
The new additions made their first appearance worldwide in the Harrods exhibition windows this week and we just could not resist. No one does a green like Dior and this is as perfect as a tote gets. The size is right as it is not cumbersome when loaded. It is elegant enough to accompany you anywhere either alone, or to supplement the capacity of a smaller clutch or mini bag. Ours is in velvet Cannage. Of course it is! Does it team with our green velvet Saddle, our cotton woven Dior bracelets, our vintage Dior 1959 tourmaline necklace? Of course it does!
- The Shoes
Have you noticed how shoes and sunglasses can date in a way that other things don’t? It doesn’t necessarily happen in a season but there does definitely come a day when your footwear and /or your eyewear just look….well, wrong. We saw these and realised perhaps the time had come to think about some new shoe styles.
- And To Top It All… The Hat
Having somehow not got around to wearing a hat this summer, autumn now seems the right time to get ahead with this trend. We don’t have any immediate plans to hire out hats but if we did this one would be our starting point.
Do you have an autumn wardrobe wish list you’d care to share? Or are you a forever summer lover who cannot bear to think about next season until after we change the clocks? Comments are great so do let us know!
