Red Alert! – BagButler Premier is here
Alongside our weekly rental service which has proved popular among sectors that I hadn’t anticipated, I am delighted and hugely excited to announce that BagButler are now offering a subscription option aptly named BagButler Premier, where for a monthly fee a small number of clients can benefit from a highly exclusive service. This is designed for avid renters who in the words of Cosmopolitan, “value access over ownership of the dreamiest arm candy.”
When I first launched BagButler, it was always my aim to offer a subscription option as I value personal attention and boutique services in my own life and will only spend my money with businesses that offer that little bit more. It has taken me 18 months to build up to this point as I needed to get to know you better, to understand the brands you liked and more about your motivations to rent rather than buy. I also wanted to know your expectations with regard to customer services.
After all, we are not the only rental option out there and we do things rather differently so we needed to find as well as get to know you, our very discerning tribe. If you feel that you’d like to learn more about a subscription to BagButler Premier or you just fancy a one-to-one call with me to talk all things handbags and rental please email me at email@example.com and I will be in touch.
Now on to the serious business of telling you about the latest addition to our Chanel family…Have you seen our Classic Chanel Flap Bag in what I am calling “ready for everything red”? It is divine. Does anyone need anything more in a handbag? I don’t. When I look at this beauty, I see simplicity and elegance, style and splendour.
I start imagining capsule wardrobes consisting of one shift dress, a brilliant blazer, the perfect jeans and well you get the picture! Suddenly everything seems more sorted and more secure. Handbags have that effect on some of us. If you are one of those, then I can confirm that we can be friends. The new bag is, as you will either guess or know, a high-ticket item costing £5,550. Yes, that it is the price we paid and yes, it is brand new and yes, we did buy this for the sole purpose of renting it out in the same way that for example Auto Vivendi buy supercars to rent out to car obsessives who don’t see the point in owning one when they can rent many.
But here is the real thing about rental. It helps to democratise these uber designer pieces. Renting is about not overbuying. It is about being a bit more conscious in how we consume but, and it is a big but, renting a £5,550 bag or £300,000 supercar is clearly also about being able to rent a piece you wouldn’t buy and to damn well enjoy it. Let us not be overly woke about this. This is something to be enjoyed for enjoyment’s sake and sometimes that is a good enough reason to do something.

This in itself is not an insignificant consideration but in a recent article in Luxx, Claudia Winkleman described this handbag as “the one” and said that it “instantly makes me feel better.
I for one will not be taking issue with that! My team and I are looking forward to welcoming more of you to BagButler. Until then, Ready, Steady, Rent!
