Tina’s Meditation Resolution

I made a few and like many people one of mine was to meditate daily.
Last year during the first lockdown, I enjoyed using the guided sessions on apps including Calm and Insight Timer.
I also listened to various podcasts on the benefits of meditation. I felt particularly motivated by Light Watkins. One of the things I liked was that he said sitting in any comfortable, upright position was valid. There is no need to sit cross legged and you can have your back supported. Being uncomfortable is not conducive to regular and nourishing meditation.
So, now in 2021 and in the midst of another lockdown I intend to make a daily meditation practice a non-negotiable part of my schedule.
This year I have decided to go it alone though. I have discovered that for me a no devices meditation that focuses on a breathing pattern such as, breathing in for 7 and out for 11 is everything I need. As with all things, its beauty is in its simplicity.
